Blocking Calls

Turn off automated unwanted phone calls or if you are regularly harassed by strangers, disturbed by persons of malicious calls. It's good to know how to block a number on Android or Windows Phone. Some manufacturers bury blacklist features deep in the settings pane, and some old device do not offer any native blocking functionality at all. Thankfully, there are ways to block calls on your Android device.

Blocking calls on Smartphone

Attention The methods will vary slightly according to your specific device and the version of Android that you are using or Windows Phone. There are a lot of presentations for your specific device on YouTube (or looking for developer forums). If you are running Android 4.4 or a later version, you now have the option to disable the caller directly from the Phone app.

BLOCKING

(only Android 4.4 or newest and MARSHMALLOW 6.0 or newest version). From phone application: - On the main screen, touch the Phone icon at the bottom, left.

At the top right, tap on the three punctuations for More options.

Then touch the Settings button.

In the next window, select Call (or Call Lock).

In the next window, tap the Call rejection link.

In the new window, touch the Auto reject list link.

In next window check the box, next to the Unknown, to block unknown phone number.

To turn off a friend's number, touch the + plus sign above.

Add a phone number or multiple selected phone numbers by tapping the Contacts icon and then selecting the phone number you want to block from the selected contact list and finally tap on SAVE link.

If you receive a call from someone, from a locked number or a secret number, the phone automatically blocks it. If this options described above, do not suits, or you just want a simpler way to block calls from your Android smartphone, you'll need an external application, which may be the best solution. You can try out more programs from the Google Store online, where you can choose a free or paid one.
